In a major achievement, Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier secured two prestigious wins at the Global Carrier Awards (GCAs) in London, along with multiple shortlist recognitions: Our cutting-edge 5G services earned the title of “Best Mobile/5G Innovation Service,” reinforcing our position as industry leaders. Our innovative 5G services were awarded “Best Mobile/5G Innovation Service,” solidifying our leadership in the industry. Additionally, our very own Rolf Nafziger made history by receiving the first-ever “GLF Chair’s Award for Industrial Collaboration and Action,” marking a milestone.
The Global Carrier Awards ceremony, held during Capacity Europe 2023 on October 18 at Indigo at The O2 in London, is widely regarded as the most prominent event in the telecom and connectivity industry. Celebrating its 19th year, the GCAs awarded 36 trophies, recognizing significant achievements across the sector. Executives from leading connectivity and technology firms gathered to honor outstanding accomplishments over the past year, with the evening featuring video tributes, special giveaways, and live performances.
A standout moment of the evening was the announcement that the Global Carrier Awards will evolve into the Global Connectivity Awards starting in 2024, embracing the broader connectivity ecosystem and future technologies, while retaining the well-known GCA acronym.
Securing two wins and even more shortlist highlights
In addition to achieving the prestigious Global Carrier Award in “Best Mobile/5G Service Innovation”, Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier had taken even more spotlight with six shortlist nominations: starting from Best Pan-European Carrier, Best Marketing Team, and Best Sales Team to Best Global Carrier – Data, Best Anti-Fraud Innovation, and Best Blockchain/Security Innovation. As the Global Carrier Award is the industry’s gold standard, we’re especially proud to have made the 2023 list with so many of our innovative solutions—including essential areas that reaffirm our pledge to stay at the forefront of network protection and of combating evolving cyber threats.
