TimeSync: Precise, Reliable, and Secure Network Time Synchronization
In today's fast-paced digital world, modern IT applications are becoming increasingly time-critical and therefore demand precise and reliable time sources. Accurate time synchronization has become essential in many scenarios, including data centers, Industry 4.0 environments, the financial sector, and many other industries. Traditionally, this has been achieved through satellite-based GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) services. However, GNSS time sources come with significant risks, including weather events, signal interference, and manipulation. They also do not offer service level agreements (SLAs) in the event of disruptions.
Introducing TimeSync by Telekom
Deutsche Telekom's TimeSync offers a solution for time synchronization that addresses these challenges head-on. Based on the Precision Time Protocol, which is derived from GNSS, TimeSync is provided via the fixed network, ensuring high precision and guaranteed service quality through SLAs.
Customers receive the precise time information via a direct connection in select Telehouse locations across Germany and transports it independently to the required location.
TimeSync is your Reliable Partner for precise synchronization
We use our own atomic clocks in combination with GNSS to provide a robust and resilient solution against GNSS outages. This guarantees that the time stamps provided to partners are accurate and consistent, meeting the stringent requirements of modern IT applications.
The service is currently served in Frankfurt, with additional locations including Dusseldorf, Hamburg, and more available in the near future.
