Layer 2 Bitstream Access at a glance

The nationwide availability and high scalability of Layer 2 Bitstream Access (L2-BSA) allows you to ideally connect your residential and smaller business customers. Our technology gives you individual product design and marketing options.

With the L2-BSA wholesale product, you can offer your customers asymmetric and symmetric bandwidths on different DSL technologies. Choose from nearly 900 current Telekom BNG regions to connect your network to your customers' xDSL lines. Create individual offers for your customers based on different Quality of Service options in our wholesale service. With this wholesale product, you need your own backbone network for data handover.

IP Bitstream Access at a glance

Use your own IP addresses and Quality of Service in four traffic classes to connect your end-customer lines to your network nodes. We offer you three different variants for connecting your end customers' connections to your network. Authentication takes place via your own RADIUS server, which you also use to allocate the IP addresses from your own quota.

Regional marketing

The IP-BSA Classic is suitable for regional marketing of xDSL connections. With this advance service, we transport the data traffic to the Broadband Point-of-Presence (BB-PoP) of the Telekom network and connect your customers' connections to your network there. For nationwide coverage, a collocation feed with connection equipment is currently required at up to 11 locations - for regional marketing, the locations can also be developed individually.

Nationwide marketing

Our IP-BSA Gate and Wholesale Internet Access (WIA) Gate products are suitable for nationwide marketing, requiring only a single network interconnection point. Of course, multiple network interconnection points are also possible, for example to secure your services through redundant interconnection points. IP-BSA Gate requires the use of a collocation feeder with connection equipment in the coupling locations. With our pre-service WIA Gate, on the other hand, no collocation is necessary - we enable you to connect to your network node in a freely selectable location.

Wholesale Internet Access Connectivity at a glance

With Wholesale Internet Access (WIA) Connectivity, you can offer your residential customers and business customers professional xDSL technology - without any need for your own technology or network infrastructure.

Take advantage of Telekom's award-winning Internet infrastructure, including peering transitions to other network providers and Internet connectivity for global Internet content. Quality of Service is possible in two traffic classes. IP addresses are allocated dynamically from Telekom's contingent.

FAQs for Bitstream Access

What bandwidths are possible when connecting the L2-BSA Network Interconnection?

You can order transfer connections in 1 Gbit/s or 10 Gbit/s versions to meet your specific requirements.

Do I need my own technology or a traffic handover for the WIA-Connectivity variant?

No, you do not need your own transfer connection or collocation. We take over the complete transport of traffic from your customers nationwide through to peering. This allows you to concentrate fully on marketing.

How can I check the availability of XDSL connections and order them?

You receive free access to up-to-date availability information to support your targeted marketing. Ordering is straightforward via our self-services. An M2M connection to our ordering interface is also possible.

At which locations can a traffic transfer take place?

There are 11 locations in major cities throughout Germany that are suitable for centralised network interconnection. There is sure to be a location near you.

How is the authentication of online users/end customers carried out?

You have the choice between classic authentication via access data based on pre-defined prefixes or suffixes (realm) or automatic authentication via the Telekom network (line ID).
