Our fiber offering

As a T Wholesale partner, our FTTH product portfolio gives you everything you need to offer your customers high-performance fiber products – flexible, scalable and future-ready.

Fiber for your business - flexible, scalable and built for growth

With T Wholesale’s fiber offering, you can expand your B2C portfolio using Telekom’s infrastructure, aligned with your business model, sales strategy and customer needs.

You know your region and target groups. T Wholesale adds fiber expertise, wholesale experience and a fiber portfolio that fits smoothly into your sales approach.

Offer the speeds your customers need: from an entry-level 50 Mbit/s product to 300, 500 or 1,000 Mbit/s, and up to 2,000 Mbit/s at selected locations. You also remain flexible when connecting to the network: choose the access, handover and aggregation options that fit your business.

This gives you a reliable basis for developing your fiber portfolio – from a flexible market entry to scalable sales in selected regions. T Wholesale helps you focus your fiber sales. We offer commercial models and incentives tailored to your goals. Whether you want to fill coverage gaps, enter new markets or scale your existing business, we work with you to identify the options that best fit your business model, target regions and sales strategy.

Fiber availability at a glance

An FTTH connection with Deutsche Telekom is already available to more than 10 million households and business locations.
An interactive T Wholesale Map will be available to you shortly - with it you can easily get an overview of our nationwide fiber-optic availability.

From planning to connection: the phases of FTTH availability

The implementation and preparation time for a fiber connection depends on the current rollout status. We regularly update our bulk availability data and provide T Wholesale partners with an availability check. For each address or Customer Location ID (KLS-ID), you can quickly see how far the building has been connected and tell your customer which steps are still required.

  • Planning - Rollout areas are defined, grid management is planned, approvals are coordinated with authorities.
  • Start of pre-marketing - all partners can inform end customers at an early stage and win from the status "vvmOngoing".
  • Start of initial marketing and regular marketing - the first streets and buildings are developed on a large scale.
  • Start of construction phases
    • Homes passed & Homes passed+: Fiber optics is located in the street or at the property line.
    • Prepared: House cut into the building including installed termination point has been completed.
    • Ready: Riser in the apartment building has been installed, the first apartments have a fiber-optic socket.
    • Connected: All apartments in the building were supplied with a fiber-optic socket.

FTTH and FTTB – two high-performance fiber access options

T Wholesale fiber solutions bring your customers into the gigabit era. Whether the property is a new build, an apartment building or an existing building, we offer the right fiber technology for each situation. Two rollout options are available: Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and Fiber to the Building (FTTB).

Fiber to the Home (FTTH)

With Fiber to the Home, the fiber line runs directly into your customer’s home. This provides the highest quality and long-term reliability. Your customer benefits from an end-to-end fiber connection and stable speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s or more – ideal for data-intensive applications, streaming and smart-home solutions.

Fiber to the Building (FTTB)

With Fiber to the Building, the fiber line ends inside the building, usually in the basement. A Distribution Point Unit (DPU) converts the optical signal into electrical signals and sends them to the individual apartments through the building’s existing copper wiring. The DPU uses a power connection provided by the building owner. Under ideal conditions, gigabit speeds are easily achievable with FTTB.

Your advantage with Deutsche Telekom fiber optics

With FTTH and FTTB, you expand your portfolio to include future-proof fiber-optic connections and offer your customers a high-performance, scalable network solution – nationwide, reliable and in the highest quality.

Planning and implementing the fiber connection

The option chosen depends on the building's structure and the available technical resources. The selection is made during an on-site assessment in consultation with the owner or property manager.
If a building is already connected with FTTH or FTTB, you will find the relevant information in the availability data.
Both options offer a stable, high-performance foundation for future fiber-optic applications and modern broadband services.

Flexible handover options to your infrastructure

You decide where traffic is handed over to or received from your infrastructure, and we manage the rest. This allows you to efficiently support your business model, regional priorities and technical requirements. You remain flexible and can also combine different options. Choose from:

Full Service Internet Connectivity: a fast start in broadband

Use our Internet Connectivity product as a ready-to-use go-to-market solution. We handle the traffic and provide the required network infrastructure. You do not need your own technical handover, reducing initial investment and operating effort. This lets you focus on sales while offering customers a reliable connection.

Ideal for carriers without their own infrastructure that want to enter the broadband market quickly and with minimal risk.

Layer 3 handover (IP-based): broad reach, simple integration

The IP-based handover provides aggregated connectivity at 11 core network locations in Germany. This gives you broad reach with manageable connection effort. You receive fully routed IP access and can use advanced options such as public or private IP addresses and Quality of Service (QoS).

Ideal for carriers that want to integrate fully routed IP access into their networks and control service and quality features themselves.

Alternatively, use an IP-based handover that bundles traffic at one central handover point. This solution offers maximum bandwidth and efficient integration into your backbone.

Ideal for carriers with nationwide sales and high data volumes that need efficient, centralised backbone integration.

Layer 2 handover (Ethernet Access): maximum control, local proximity

Use regional handover at around 900 Ethernet network nodes across Germany for maximum control over your services. This option brings you as close as possible to the customer and lets you fully implement your own routing and control logic. The Layer 2 handover supports service separation through VLANs and is ideal for multi-tenant scenarios.

Ideal for carriers that use their own network architecture and want full control of services through to the customer.
